The daily sports guessing game
Athle is a free daily guessing game for sports fans, inspired by Wordle and the wave of once-a-day puzzles it started. Every day I hide one athlete behind a blurred photo, and your job is to work out who it is from a handful of clues before the picture comes into focus.
There is one puzzle per sport per day, identical for everyone in the world, so it is a fair challenge you can share and compare with friends. No sign-up, no downloads, no paywall. Just start guessing and try to solve today's athlete in as few turns as you can.
How to play
Guess an athlete
Type any player's name and pick from the list. Each guess uncovers more of the blurred photo.
Read the colour clues
Green is an exact match, orange is close, grey is no match. Arrows on numbers tell you higher or lower.
Use hints wisely
Reveal an attribute, uncover a career step, or clear the photo. Each hint costs one of your ten turns.
Come back daily
One puzzle per sport per day, the same for everyone. Solve on consecutive days to build a streak.

There is more: the Card Cabinet
Football, basketball and tennis all have a collectible layer. Every daily you play out earns a pack of real player cards, which you open and arrange into a lineup whose rating climbs with chemistry. Football adds all-time Legends and Coaches. Keep a seven-day streak on a game and you earn a Streak pack: one card, guaranteed to be a Legend or an Icon.
